Eat to Live for Abundant Energy and Outrageously Good Health!
Do you eat to live… …or do you live to eat?
Remember that old saw? Did you ever think about what it means? If a person lives to eat, that doesn’t exactly bring to mind the image of someone who uses discretion in choosing his or her foods. Rather, I see – I know it doesn’t sound very nice – but a gluttonous person who spends his or her time and energy and thoughts on food of any kind. This person isn’t concerned about nutritional value but is just looking for volume and taste. On the other hand… …a person who lives by the eat-to-live philosophy is someone who seeks a higher quality of life. A higher quality of life involves excellent health and abundant energy to enjoy the good things that life has to offer. This person makes good choices to help reach those goals. Happily, making healthy food choices does not mean sacrificing delicious and interesting food! Dr. FuhrmanJoel Fuhrman, MD, uses the phrase Eat To Live to refer to his book of the same title and a healthful, plant-based diet plan. I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Fuhrman speak, as well as briefly being a patient of his in his private practice in New Jersey. He really cares about teaching people how to become truly healthy through eating properly. His books and website offer a great education in nutrition to anyone who cares to explore them. In addition, the website offers a Member Center that you can join and gain personalized assistance through an Ask the Doctor area, Discussion Forums, hundreds of healthy Recipes , customized daily menus, members-only teleconferences, discounts on products, and access to the Eat to Live vook, a video-enhanced ebook which you access directly on your computer. My Member Center Trial Of course, you may not be ready to jump in and try this for yourself, so I'm going to help you. I’ve decided to try Dr. Fuhrman's Member Center myself and share what I learn with my readers. The cost is $44.95 for the initial six weeks, then $14.95 per month. (Update: The membership cost has changed. There are three levels, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with a price range of $3.95 to $49.95 per month.) With just a quick look around, it already looks promising and helpful, what with the healthy menu plans and delicious-sounding recipes that I'm anxious to try. Although I don’t recommend eating meat, there is a non-vegetarian option (including recipes, of course), in case you have a family member (or perhaps you?) who just might not be quite ready yet to start a new eating program that is completely vegetarian but who would like to start eating healthy. Learn to Eat to Really LiveI like what Dr. Fuhrman says: “I take bad nutrition very seriously because people die from it…” Those are scary words but words which should be taken seriously. Living merely to eat may seem like an easy life choice, but that momentary pleasure gained by eating toxic food ultimately leads to serious illness and continual suffering. Don’t sacrifice your good health. Know that making healthy food choices doesn’t have to be boring or difficult. Check out some of the Member success stories and see how other people have turned their lives around and are enjoying abundant energy and excellent health. Return from Eat to Live to the Home Page.
