Raw Food Detox Diet – Continuation of the 30-day Healthy Living Food Diet
The raw food detox diet continues on Day 21 of the 30-day challenge. My weight was 118.2 pounds this morning, which is unchanged. I slept very well last night, but woke up too early, worrying about business. After spending some time journaling, I got things settled down somewhat. It’s all really exciting and I can see my life taking a very positive turn with the new programs I’m about to implement.
As usual, I drank a glass of water first thing, then had 1 teaspoon of barley grass in water. For breakfast I ate half a cantaloupe. Later on…one teaspoon of BeetMax (powdered organic raw beet juice) in water, a couple of times, two big glasses of carrot juice. Food is not appealing today. I try to think of something, but just nothing sounds good, especially prepared recipes with complicated flavors. The juice is good, though. I had one banana in the evening. My total food for the day was not much: - 2 teaspoons barley juice powder
- 1/2 cantaloupe
- 2 teaspoons powdered beet juice powder
- 2 large glasses of carrot juice
- 1 banana
I wish I'd known about The Garden Diet when I was doing this eating program. It would have provided welcome support and structure. Low Blood Pressure?I got dressed to go to church this morning, then decided to stay home because I’m still in a low-energy state, feeling light-headed at times. I wondered if my blood pressure was low, so I checked it. It was 86/62. That’s fairly low, but mine has been that low before. It would be a very low reading for a SAD (Standard American Diet) eater. I did a little research and learned that carrot juice and beet juice are good for hypotension, so I went out and bought a lot of carrots and I’ve been drinking fresh, delicious carrot juice, as well as mixing some raw beet powder into water and drinking that. I still feel like I just want to lie down or sit down. BalanceBalance… For some reason that word/concept wants to be written about, but I’m not sure exactly how or what to say. Perhaps I’m out of balance with this diet, not getting enough of something or too much of something else. Or maybe I’m just detoxing. I think that when the body is strong and healthy, a detox will occur. On Friday I felt great--strong and energetic. And perhaps my body decided it was healthy enough for me to endure a detoxification which is manifesting as tiredness, weakness, and sleepiness. Click here for information about other detox diets. I’m not sure what balance has to do with detox. Maybe it means my body is bringing itself back into balance through this raw food detox diet, as unpleasant as it may be. I can’t wait to see how I feel tomorrow morning.
