A Delicious Green Smoothie Recipe Using Parsley, Mango, Banana and Blueberries
Here’s a smoothie recipe that I’m preparing for my quick, healthy lunch today. I had intended it to be even simpler than it turned out, with just three ingredients instead of the four it ended up with. My original recipe was to be the following ingredients, all blended up with water:
- 1 mango
- 1 small banana
- large handful of parsley
However, the mango was disappointing and I had to cut away about half of it. So, I added fresh blueberries. I thought about putting in some sweetener in the form of dates or raw honey, but it tastes just fine as it is. So, the final recipe is: - 1 mango
- 1 small banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- large handful of parsley
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water
I’m drinking the final result as I write, and I feel more energetic and alive already!By the way, if that had been a really good mango today, just blending it with parsley and water would have made a superb smoothie… one of my favorites. Do yourself a health-enhancing favor. Blend up this smoothie in a high-powered blender for a creamy, delicious, healthful snack or meal. If you don’t have parsley on hand, use another green like kale or spinach. Your taste buds and body will be happy!
