Does Vitamin N Exist in Nature?
Does vitamin N exist? I checked the USDA database and there’s no listing for it. Therefore, I’m claiming it as Nutrition from Nature.Today I fed myself very well with Nature’s best. I was feeling a little draggy and uninspired, so I went to my nearby Arboretum to get some much-needed natural nutrition to feed my spirit.
It’s a gorgeous late December day in western North Carolina but on the cool side with the temperatures hovering on the low side of 50. The sky is spectacularly blue with not a cloud in sight. The trees are bare of leaves and this allows for lovely views of the distant and close mountains that you can’t see when the trees are lush and leafy. Some of the trees have berries that provide a nutritious feast for the birds.Nature's BountyFor myself, I filled myself with Nature’s bounty of beauty, peace, quiet, and wonder. I shared my walk with bluebirds and other songbirds, a hawk soaring overhead, and some little woodland critter that scampered into the underbrush and dry leaves at my approach. Scientists may try to synthesize all different kinds of natural foods in order to make money for the food manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies, but this—Nature—is one thing they will never be able to duplicate in their laboratories. And we can’t get the nourishment our spirits require from anything else. I feel sorry for people who haven’t developed an appreciation for the wonders of nature. It could just be that they haven’t had anyone take the time to introduce them to woods and rivers and meadows.

Thanks, DadSo, today is a good day to thank my dad, Richard, for helping me and my brothers learn to appreciate the outdoors when he took us hiking and on camping trips, because today is his birthday. Even though he’s been gone from our beautiful Earth for many years, I’m incredibly thankful for this everlasting gift he left us with. Thanks, Dad. I returned home refreshed, rejuvenated and blessed, energized enough to return to work at the computer. When my spirit is hungry again there's only one thing to satisfy it... I’ll head back to the woods for my natural nutrition. Return from Vitamin N to Motivation.
